Profile

Dr. Frank Santora was appointed the Director of Special Services within Madison Public Schools in November of 2017. In addition to his role in overseeing the development and implementation of comprehensive programs of support for students, Dr. Santora is also responsible for the leadership and training of departmental staff as well assisting the district in shaping its vision and mission. As Dr. Santora’s role and responsibilities expanded, he was elevated to the role of Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Personnel Services in February of 2019. This role allows Dr. Santora the opportunity to support increased members of the Madison Public Schools community and further construct opportunities for positive outcomes for students. Recently, Dr. Santora’s role further expanded to include oversight of the Personnel department for the district.
Prior to arriving in Madison, Dr. Santora served as the Director of Special Services and Building Principal in the Saddle Brook School District. During his time in Saddle Brook, Dr. Santora focused his efforts on developing new and innovative programs for students with special education needs across the district. These programs included but were not limited to, a full-day general education preschool program, a Special Class Autism Program, and a Special Class Behavioral Disabilities program. Additionally, Dr. Santora facilitated numerous professional development workshops for staff regarding best practices.
