Ann Degnan has worked at Long Branch Public Schools for 21 years. She started in Long Branch as the Technology Manager until 2010 when she made a transition into Facilities Management and three years ago completed her SBA certification.
Ann is responsible for nearly 1MM square feet of classroom and office space and manages a staff of 25. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Bloomsburg University and an MBA from Lehigh University.
In the past eight years Ann has helped Long Branch become very active in the Sustainable arena working with staff at each school to achieve Sustainable Jersey Schools - Bronze Certification for all Long Branch Schools in 2016 and resubmission to achieve Silver in all locations. With Ann’s support Long Branch also achieved an Energy Savings of over $4.3 MM implementing a behavior change program across 8 years.
Finally in 2017, Ann was instrumental in helping Long Branch become the first New Jersey district to be awarded TWO Green Ribbon Schools in the same academic year.
