Profile
Laura Zhang-Choi is a member of Greenwich Township BOE in Warren County who's passionate about educational equity, inclusion, and access for all students. She is a steering committee member of API Rainbow Parents of PFLAG NYC/NJ and an active member of Make Us Visible NJ. A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and currently completing her Masters of Divinity at New Brunswick Theological Seminary as she pursues ordination in the Presbyterian Church (USA). A virtual homebound instructor for GenPsych, a Safe Schools/Spaces trainer/speaker, and an avid advocate for mental health and safe spaces for all children/youth. Also as a first generation immigrant, she deeply understands the intersectional identities students carry and how they impact learning and mental health. She truly loves learning, teaching, and doing intersectional work between faith and justice, almost as much as she loves her three children.
