Practice Highlights

Rachel served as Assistant Deputy Public Defender for the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender from September 2021 through March 2022. Rachel served as a Clerk for the Hon. Nancy Ridgway, J.S.C., New Jersey Superior courts from August 2020 through August 2021.

Rachel worked as an Ombudsman Fellow at the Office of the Ombudsman for Public Education in Washington, DC, where she assisted parents with opening investigations, conducted mediations, and provided research and information about the DC Public School system.

Rachel served in the KIPP DC General Counsel Office and as an Education Policy Intern, where she wrote for National Report, “Promise to Practice” concerning states’ ESSA plans regarding equitable education.

Community

Rachel was Co-Captain of the Charles Hamilton Houston National Moot Court Team at Howard University, served as a CPE Mentor with Capital Partners for Education, and served as a dance instructor for the Bethesda Conservator of Dance.

Education

Rachel earned her B.A. in Politics from Messiah College, Mechanicsburg, PA. She is studying for her MBA from Walden University in Minneapolis, MN, expected graduation date Dec. 2022. Rachel earned her Juris Doctorate from Howard University School of Law in Washington, DC.
