New Jersey Center for Teaching and Learning
The New Jersey Center for Teaching and Learning (NJCTL) is an independent, nonprofit charitable organization founded in 2007 by NJEA with the mission of empowering communities of educators and families to lead school improvement so that all students have access to a high-quality education.
NJCTL believes that the best way to improve education is to invest in teachers by helping make their work simpler, more effective, and less stressful. This led to the creation of a massive library of free open educational resources for teaching physics, chemistry, biology, K12 mathematics, K-8 science, and computer science. These materials also form the basis for the development of online, asynchronous graduate courses for teachers to earn new endorsements in STEM fields.
NJCTL was granted status as an IHE by the NJ Office of the Secretary of Higher Education on March 23, 2020. NJCTL is approved to offer Master of Science degrees in teaching and learning of chemistry, mathematics and physics and is currently seeking
accreditation.
